Working primarily in beautiful, colourful Gouache and Acrylics Carolyne creates richly painted works inspired by nature, memory, emotional well-being and the restorative beauty and creativity. 

Her Artistic practice combines expressive colour, painterly movement and gentle visual storytelling.  Often centred around themselves of warmth,  comfort,  wonder and human connection. 

Alongside her Fine Art and illustration work Carolyne has worked professionally as a Portrait and Landscape Artist for many years. Creating commissioned paintings while raising her family and continuing a lifelong dedication to traditional Art Practice. Alongside teaching Art to students of all ages.

Her current creative focus includes the development of Myshka "The Woolly Bear Cat:" An original hand painted children's Picture Storybook world exploring imagination,  kindness and emotional connection through richly expressive illustrations. 

With a background in Creative Counselling Arts Therapy and emotional well-being,  Carolyne 's broader practice is deeply informed by the belief that Art can nurture reflection, creativity,  healing and connection. 

Through both painting and storytelling,  Carolyne aims to create works that feel authentic,  emotional resonance and being deeply human
