Carolyne D'Arcy 's painting practice explores colour,  movement and emotional atmosphere through expressive works, created primarily in beautiful Gouache,  Acrylics and previously in Watercolour and Pencil. 

Inspired by nature, memory and intuitive process. Carolyne 's paintings celebrate warmth,  imagination and the restorative beauty of traditional hand painted Art.

'ARTIST'S STATENENT'

"Painting has always been my way of exploring the beauty,  emotion and quiet wonder I find in the world around me. 

My work is inspired by nature,  light, emotion and the atmosphere of places that linger in the heart, long after they have left. 

Alongside my love of Australian landscape  and the beauty and delicateness of flowers. I have also been drawn to the timeless beauty of Italy and Europe. Their architecture,  gardens and colours and sense of history -  not to the mention the timeless beauty continues to inspire my imagination . Often feeling strongly familiar,  as though they have been part of my creative journey for a long time. To the extent of after finishing a painting such as 'Spirit of Reflections' and the 'Spanish Cathedral' to the watercolour painting of 'Lady walk'n  the Rain'. I have got the comments from viewers  saying 'Oh, I have been there.....'."

Alongside her illustration work,  Carolyne has many years creating commissioned works of beautiful soul deep Portaits and Landscapes. In all mediums..... *see tab Portraiture .
