WHISPER OF FLOWERS
"My work explores the beauty, emotion and quiet presence of flowers through expressive colours, light and movement.
In the 'Whispers of Flowers ' collection.
I am less interested in botanical accuracy and more interested in capturing and feeling the memory of a garden, the softness of the petals in the morning light. Or the fleeting beauty of a bloom before it fades.
Working mainly in Gouache with a little glazing in oils I build layers of colour and texture to create paintings that are both delicate and vibrant.
Light plays an important role in my work, emerging through rich shades and luminous colours to evoke a sense of wonder and reflection.
Flowers have long been symbols of hope, remembrance, joy and renewal bringing happiness. And I bring this into my paintings. I invite viewers to pause connect with nature to discover their own memories and emotions within each floral arrangement.
My aim is to create artworks that feel like gentle conversations - quiet moments of beauty that fingerling after they are seen"
